Warm and Fez-y

Where to start with Fez? It’s a platformer that takes the one interesting thing about Super Paper Mario and multiplies it: Instead of just two planes to shift between, Fez has four, and you apparently need to rotate perspective in midair to make certain jumps. It looks pixel-cutesy in 2D and beautifully rendered in the 3D look-around mode. And it’s soundtracked by chiptune impresario 6955, whose work should sound familiar to devotees of Not The 1up Show.

No word on what platform(s) Fez is headed for, but the video above includes some references to a green A button, which would seem to imply the Xbox 360. My fingers, they are crossed.

That’s really stylish, though it has the capacity to make my head go splode.

Oh, hot: The tiny text that pops up at around 0:56 says “use the left or right triggers or bumpers to change your perspective.” 360, indeed.

Marching in: Looks like Saints Row 2 will involve a few explosions, if the screens are any indication. The gangster-in-a-sandbox sequel lands in stores this week.
